Bucknell's Career Development Center (CDC) contributes to the University's commitment to preparing productive citizens for the global community by educating Bucknellians in the art of integrating an individual’s career goals with their varied academic and life experiences.

By providing meaningful, diverse learning experiences, quality resources and career expertise, the center encourages students and alumni in developing self-understanding and self-sufficiency as they learn the process of making informed and thoughtful decisions.

How can we be helpful to you?

We are a full-service career center with 16 administrative and support staff, and 13 student peer staff.

Externships, Internships, full time jobs and Grad School - we offer programs and services to assist all students with their plans for work and life beyond Bucknell. From choosing a major to searching for experiences that will help you determine what career path to follow or advice from experts if you are seeking admission to graduate/professional school -- these are all issues that we can assist you with and offer advise and suggestions for crafting your own unique plan and approach.
We offer a wide variety of counseling and advising services to students from first year to senior year and beyond. Bucknell's Pre-Law and the University's Pre-Health program also falls within the CDC.
Making contacts is also important! You are invited to be a part of our various Career Networking and Career Fair Events! Career spotlights, industry-based career fairs and geographic networking events happen both on and off campus throughout the academic year. These special events provide students the opportunity to have conversations and personal interactions with Bucknell alumni, parents, and employers.
As you graduate from Bucknell, know that we are still here to help you. We offer an innovative Alumni Career Services program to assist alumni with each phase of work lives, assisting individuals with their various career decisions and job transitions from their 20's through their retirement years!

Bucknellians experience success in many avenues. We compile an extensive report each year that outlines where our grads go for that first exciting experience after graduation.
