The Structure of BSG
Executive Board - Coordinates the resolutions and laws passed by the Congress and translates that expression to the students, faculty, administration, and community.
- Acts as the official liaison between the Bucknell University students and the rest
of the university community.
Executive Committee - Includes the Excutive Board (above), committee heads, and class presidents.
- Coordinates all of the activities of BSG so that the whole government remains informed about progress in the various committees.
BSG Congress The BSG Congress is the Legislative Branch of the Bucknell Student Government. The fifty-two member body (thirteen from each class) write the laws and guidelines that the government must follow. They have the ultimate authority in this realm in that there is no Executive Board veto. The Congress then gives the Executive Board the direction and expectations to carry out actions that the Congress sees as the best interests for the student body. First-year student elections occur early fall semester.
