Buy Coffee, Support the Bucknell Brigade and Fair Trade
The Bucknell Brigade continues to be able to supply freshly roasted fair trade certified organic shade grown coffee beans from Nicaragua.
The coffee was purchased directly from the worker-owned Manual Jose Lopez cooperative in El Porvenir, Nicaragua, and it is roasted at the ever-popular La Prima Roasting Company in Pittsburgh, PA.
You can do your part to help a small worker-owned cooperative in the northwestern mountains of Nicaragua get their fair share.
Buy this specialty coffee for just $10/lb. and you will be supporting the 15 farmers of the Manuel Jose Lopez co-op and their families.
For orders that exceed 25 pounds, the coffee is $8.50 per pound.

The Bucknell Brigade is offering a new way to donate to our cause, and at the same time give a wonderful gift to a friend or a loved one. When you donate through the Bucknell Brigade Honor Card offer, you can give a donation in the honor of someone else. The donation will go to help the Nicaraguan community of Nueva Vida and we will give you a beautiful postcard that you can send to your friend or loved one. This card will explain how the gift given in their name has been used to help those in need and includes pictures showing the work of the Bucknell Brigade in progress.
Your generosity can go a long way to help the Bucknell Brigade provide health care in Nueva Vida, and your friend or loved one will know that the gift accomplished good works in the world. There are honor cards for many different holiday occasions, and others that can be sent at any time of the year. And do not forget, your donation to the Bucknell Brigade is tax deductible.
Donate Your Used Cell Phone
Help support the Bucknell Brigade by donating your used cell phones and inkjet cartridges while helping to save the environment from toxic waste! The Brigade will receive a monetary donation for each cell phone and inkjet cartridge donated.
Donation boxes are located in the uphill and downhill lobbies of the LC, the Library, the 7th Street Cafe and the Office of Civic Engagement.
