Note that required courses may not be used to fulfill the elective distribution.

Biological Science Electives

Department	Courses
Biology (BIOL)	Any course at 200+ level with BIOL 205 suggested as a starting point. Both 205 and 206 are recommended for students considering medical school, and they should be taken in the junior year.
Chemistry (CHEM)	Any course at the 200+ level except 201 and 202.
Geology (GEOL)	150, any course at the 200+ level.
Physics (PHYS)	Any course at the 200+ level. PHYS212 is recommended especially for students considering medical school, and it should be taken the spring semester of the first year.
Mathematics (MATH)	Any course at the 200+ level except: 201-207, 211-212, 216, 217, 222, 226 and 291.
Engineering (ENGR)	Any course at the 200+ level except 200, 211-214, 222 (or 233 if 222 has already been taken), 231, 242, 248 270, 285, 300 and 385. ENGR220 is recommended, and it should be taken the fall semester of the sophomore year.
Chemical Engineering (CHEG)	Any course at the 400 level.
Civil Engineering (CENG)	Any course at the 200+ level.
Computer Science (CSCI)	Any course at the 200+ level except 240.
Electrical Engineering (ELEC)	105 and any course at the 200+ level except 228 and 229.
Mechanical Engineering (MECH)	Any course at the 200+ level except 201, 211-213 and 312.
Biomedical Engineering (BMEG)	Any course at the 400 level.
