Looking for a particulartype of class?  Are you curious about what each class entails?  Check out our Group Fitness descriptions and see if there is a class that's right for you!  Every instructor is qualified to adjust the class format to suit the needs of beginner, intermediate, and advanced participants.  We welcome ALL LEVELS of group fitness enthusiasts to attend!


 Classes take place in the Group Fitness Studio located on the second floor of the Gerhard Fieldhouse OR in Kinney Natatorium.

Bootcamp - A group exercise class that mixes traditional calisthenics and body weight exercises with interval training and strength training with the use of weights, body bars, aerobic steps and BOSUs. A total body conditioning class with lots of drill and little recovery time, the class will challenge participants to take their body to the limit, work, sweat, and burn calories like crazy. It's efficient, fun and as challenging as you want it to be!

CARDIO PUMP:  Get ready to burn calories with this 60- minute, high-rep class targeting all the major muscles using resistance with body bars, dumb bells, and your own bodyweight - creating strong and toned bodies!

H.i.T.:  A step interval class utilizing a variety of combinations. Be prepared to get your heart rate elevated!

H2O FITNESS:
Total body workout with a splash! A great cardio workout that is easy on your joints. All levels of activity and swimming experience are welcomed. Classes take place either in shallow water or in deeper water utilizing buoyancy belts (*Classes take place in Kinney Natatorium).

KICKBOXING
: High intensity bag-oriented workout, aimed at increasing strength, speed and agility with cardiovascular punching and kicking techniques. Hand wraps are available. Feel free to bring your own gloves/hand wraps.

LIGHTS OUT YOGA:  In a contemporary flowing sezuence of Vinyasa poses, come find the edge you've been looking for! Linking movement wth the breath increase your strength, balance, and concentration in a "candle lit" atmosphere.

PILATES
: This class seeks to develop a balance between strength and flexibility with the goal of improving posture and mobility for optimal conditioning and ease of movement.

Power Yoga : This class is fitness-based focusing on flexibility and strength through breath work and vinyasa, or flow of postures.

SPINNING Wed/Th/Fri  6pm-7pm : A fun and upbeat cycling class for people of all athletic levels. Get ready for a workout of hills and interval training that will get you body in shape!!! All levels welcome! 

STEP:
 A series of easy-to-follow combinations guaranteed to get your heart rate elevated and a sculpting session utilizing dumbbells, bands, etc. All levels of experience welcomed.

YOGA & ABS: 30 minutes of yoga + 20 minutes of abdominal exercises + 10 minutes of yoga = 60 minutes you don't want to miss! Focuses on developing flexibility, strength, and awarenes of breath, through vigourous vinyasa sequences combined with various abdominal exercises. .

YOGA: A whole body workout designed to strengthen, tone, and increase flexibility while incorporating the basic yogic principles of breathing and the mind/body connection. All levels welcome!

ZUMBA: A Latin inspired, dance-fitness class that incrporates Latin and International music (with some of today's hit music) and dance movements, which create a dynamic, exciting, and effective fitness sytem! This class format combines fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body in an aerobic/fitness fashion to achieve a unique blended balance of cardio and muscle-toning benefits. NO DANCE EXPERIENCE NEEDED!!!!
