Summer Research, 2012

During the summer of 2012 students Mike Nicholson and Kelly Burkhart conducted research on the Buffalo Valley Rail Trail under Dr. Michelle Oswald and Dr. Thomas Kinnaman. The goals of the study were to estimate travel demand as well as economic impact of the trail on the local area. The trail recently opened in November 2012 and is a 9 mile multi-use pathway from Lewisburg to Mifflinburg. Results of the study can be seen in the full report on the BVRT website (www.bvrt.org).
