Bioengineering Instrumentation Laboratory

The primary purpose for this interdisciplinary facility is the development and testing of medical instrumentation and the characterization of physiological properties and processes. Among the capabilities of the laboratory are electrocardiography, electromyography, blood pressure measurement, blood glucose monitoring, blood velocity measurement with Doppler ultrasound, biomechanical characterization of muscle and measurement of the fluid mechanical, and thermal and electrical properties of tissues.
