HumanitiesDigital Image CollectionIntroduction to the Collection | | The Humanities Collection, a database of over 10,000 images, was designed to support teaching art history, foreign languages, religion, Classics, and other disciplines. The collection contains a mixture of images licensed from vendors, the public domain, and images donated from personal collections of members of the Bucknell community. Images from vendors are licensed specifically for educational use—classroom projection or personal research. Images may not be used in publications without written consent from the image owner. For questions about copyright, please contact Abby Clobridge (aclobrid@bucknell.edu).
| Images cover a wide range of subjects, time periods, and geography. Users can search by title, creator, culture or nationality, time period, century, or subject matter. To search across all fields, search by keyword. | The Humanities Collection is growing based on needs of faculty and students for specific courses. Please submit a request new materials form if you wish to have images added to the collection. | Viewing Tools | The collection is viewable through Insight software. The collection is currently restricted to members of the Bucknell community. Upon request, a subset of images from the collection can be made available.
