Humanities

Digital Image Collection

Introduction to the Collection

The Humanities Collection was designed to support teaching. The collection, with over 10,000 images, contains a mixture of images licensed from vendors, the public domain, and images donated from personal collections by members of the Bucknell community. Images from vendors are licensed specifically for educational use—classroom projection or personal research. Images may not be used in publications without written consent from the image owner. For questions about using the materials or to suggest new materials to support teaching, please contact Chloe Barnett, chloe.barnett@bucknell.edu

Images cover a wide range of subjects, time periods, and geography. Users can search by title, creator, culture or nationality, time period, century, or subject matter. To search across all fields, search by keyword.

The Humanities Collection is growing based on needs of faculty and students for specific courses. Please submit a request new materials form if you wish to have images added to the collection.

Metadata Schema
