The AMICA Library (Art Images from Cartography Associates) is a collection of over 114,000 high-quality images of artwork from 22 museums throughout the United States and Canada including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, the Whitney Museum of American Art, and the National Gallery of Canada. (See below for a complete list of contributors.) ISR has licensed this library from Cartography Associates to improve access to images for use in classroom teaching. Cultures and time periods range from ancient Greece, Rome, and Egypt to contemporary installation art and include thousands of images in between. For more details visit the AMICA website. | |
Usage | |
ISR has licensed access to this collection from Cartography Associates for Bucknell students, faculty, and staff to use strictly for educational purposes, i.e., in-class presentations, research, and student papers. Data provided by the museums allows users to search by Title, Creator Name (Artist), Culture/Nationality, Style or Period, or Object Type. Users can also search across all fields with a "keyword" search. | |

Access is restricted to members of the Bucknell community. The full AMICA collection can only be viewed through the Java Client installed on Library & IT-facilitated computers.
