Bucknell faculty in chamber music concert

LEWISBURG, Pa. — Members of the music faculty at Bucknell University will present a chamber music concert Sunday, March 5, at 8 p.m. in the Natalie Davis Rooke Recital Hall of the Sigfried Weis Music Building at Bucknell University.

The program, which is free to the public, will feature mezzo-soprano Martha Gibbs Hill; violist Christopher Para; and pianist Ilan Levin in works by Johannes Brahms, Charles Martin Loeffler, Paul Ben-Haim and Jackson Hill.

Para is a graduate of the Eastman School of Music and has performed as a violist and conductor throughout the United States and in Europe. He is conductor of the Bucknell Orchestra.

Hill has performed widely in the United States and in England as an oratorio soloist and Lieder recitalist, as well as in numerous chamber music ensembles.

Israeli-born pianist Levin is a graduate of the Eastman School of Music and is a visiting assistant professor of music at Bucknell.
