"Why leave an integral part of your high school life behind? Arts (visual and theater) have always been a major part of my life, but I questioned how I could keep them relevant when everything else in college seemed to be pulling me in different directions. Arts Res was the answer: live with a community of peers who, whether they were Studio Art majors, Civil Engineers, or completely undecided, all shared one thing in common, art. Arts Res also provides a great mixing of interests because of arts multidimensionality...plus it is fun!"

"The Arts College is a great and welcoming place that gives students an opportunity to share their artistic interests with one another. I was able to be in a foundation seminar that involved performance, with Gary Grant, who has been teaching at Bucknell for almost 30 years. As an Arts Merit Scholar for Theater, I was able to share my talents on stage with others during Common Hours and the symposium. It is a great experience that exposes you to many new people and types of art. You do not need an art to be in the arts college! As long as you are interested in learning more about the arts and meeting new people in all fields of art, you will have a great experience."

"There are so many great aspects of the Arts Res College. The seminars are all so interesting and fun and cover such a wide variety of topics. Whether you like theater, painting, music, or all of the above, there is something for you in Arts Res. We always have fun with exciting, hands-on Common Hours, and awesome trips to some of the coolest museums and best shows. But, what's best of all about Arts Res are the people. You will meet so many amazing individuals who will change your lives. Whether it's one of the professors or a Junior Fellow or another student in the Arts College, every person you meet will open your eyes to a whole other world."

"Being in the Arts Residential College was a great experience for me my freshman year. Attending the Common Hours each week was a lot of fun and was where I met my best friend at Bucknell! I'd highly recommend it, whether you consider yourself 'artsy' or not!"

"Why do I love Arts Res you ask? Because it's AWESOME! Entering college can be a bit of a daunting experience, but living with welcoming, fun-loving people with similar interests to your own helps to make the high school-college transition much more enjoyable. I originally joined Arts Res because I didn't want to lose touch with my 'artsy' interests by studing engineering at Bucknell. Little did I know the amazing experience I would have during the Common Hours, weekend trips, and simply living with such an eclectic group of fantastic individuals, who I can now say are an incredible group of friends for life!"
