Admission Requirements

Psychology Department

An undergraduate psychology major is not essential; however, it is critical that candidates have adequate training in experimental psychology and statistics. Verbal, quantitative, analytical, and advanced psychology GRE scores are required. Important admissions criteria include previous research experience and letters of recommendation. In addition, the department's emphasis on individualized instruction requires some indication of the tentative research interests of each candidate. This issue should be addressed by each applicant for admission to the graduate program.
