Back Row (from left to right): Brook Campbell, Molly Hyer
Brooke Campbell (Advisor: Bill Flack) - second year Masters student
Originally from Muncy, PA I received my Bachelor of Arts Degree at Bloomsburg University (Bloomsburg, PA) with a Major in Psychology, a Minor in Sociology, and a Concentration in Family, Children and Youth. While attending Bloomsburg, I had the opportunity to complete an internship at a residential facility for adolescent girls, where I subsequently became employed. Working at the facility fostered my former interest in the patterns of behavior associated with sexual assault. At Bucknell, under the supervision of Dr. Bill Flack, I am conducting research with the intent to identify differentially risky behaviors associated with sexual assault such as alcohol consumption, group membership, and participation in the "hook-up" culture. After completing my Master's Degree at Bucknell, I would like to go on to a Ph.D. program in either social or clinical psychology, and hope to eventually teach psychology at the university level.
Sarah Heath (Advisor: ) - first year Masters student
Molly Hyer (Advisor: Owen Floody) - second year Masters student
Erin Singleton (Advisor: JT Ptacek) - second year Masters student
Originally from Amesbury, MA, I received my B.A. at College of the Holy Cross (Worcester, MA) with a major in Psychology and a minor in Visual Arts. In addition to conducting research related to physical performance, I have been a teaching assistant for three different General Psychology classes. I am also the Graduate Assistant Field Hockey coach at the University and work specifically with the goalkeepers. After finishing my Masters at Bucknell, I intend to pursue my PhD in Sports Psychology and hope to someday work with professional athletes.
Jamie Vanartsdale (Advisor: ) second year Masters student
Originally from Philadephia, PA, I received my B.A. at Bloomsburg University (Bloomsburg, PA) with a major in Psychology. Under the supervision of Dr. Winona Cochran, I conducted an independent study on personality and relationship satisfaction. I was also a member of the Bloomsburg field hockey team. In addition to conducting research here at Bucknell, I have been a teaching assistant for Psychological Statistics and Introduction to Psychology. After finishing my masters at Bucknell, I would like to go on to a PhD program in social psychology. On completion of the PhD, I see myself teaching psychology at the university or high school level.
