"Being in the Global College gave me an understanding of the world necessary to back my passion for global issues. I have always felt passionately about world problems like the HIV/AIDS epidemic, global warming, the oil crisis, and world hunger—but it was simply that: passion and outrage. Now I have an understanding of the complex modern world system, the ways in which global players interact, and therefore how these issues can effectively be approached."

"The Global Res College is without a doubt the BEST college to join! I wanted to join this college because I enjoy learning about different types of people and their lives, and I wanted to surround myself with students who shared this commonality. Everyone on my hall was not only nice, but had a genuine interest in learning to know each other. Having classes and going on trips together brought us closer as a group, and provided interaction that other freshman never will get to experience while at Bucknell."

"One of the best things about the Residential College program that I discovered upon arriving on campus is the sense of common identity that it provides you with. You meet the hundreds of students in your freshman class during orientation, but you will already have something in common with a group of them:  your choice in participating in this program.  Global, in particular, gives you skills that will prepare you for the remainder of your college years, as well as presenting you with relevant material that forces you to draw new conclusions about the people and world around you."
