Majors wishing to become certified to teach in public schools should consult Prof. Russell Dennis (Education Department) and their advisor as early as possible to avoid confusion and disappointment. State requirements for certification make it necessary to be very alert in planning your curriculum; the greater part of an entire semester during the Senior year must be devoted to practice teaching in public schools.
