Community Service
Making a DifferenceMost students at Bucknell participate in volunteer and community service work. They find it’s a way to make a difference in the community, gain valuable experience, and explore community issues that are important to them. Not only does it help others, it helps students develop leadership skills, make new friends, and make connections between classroom learning and real-world experiences. Students interested in nonprofit work can also explore career options. Bucknell students can volunteer on an individual basis or with a group of friends, join one of our community service organizations, or become active through academic classes, clubs and organizations, sports team, or fraternities and sororities. Participating in community service is a great way to give back to the community, share your talents with others, and have fun with other volunteers.
