Not only does it encourage one to think critically and appraise different perspectives but it ensures success and togetherness. I found taking a class with the people I lived with incredibly constructive because class discussions continued on the hall. This strengthened relationships and understanding as listening to different views challenged my own and helped me see the other side. Most of all, the sense of community I felt made my freshman year and transition into college smooth and delightful." |

Helping others and serving the community was an incredible experience.. The trip we took to Baltimore last fall opened my eyes to the challenging circumstances people face in their daily lives. Everyone on my hall had a genuine interest in the issues discussed in class and these conversations were often continued in dorm rooms. Living on the same hall as people in my class, as well as the various trips and service opportunities we took part in, helped me build friendships that will last a lifetime. I am thrilled to be part of the Social Justice college this fall and look forward to sharing my experiences and advice with the incoming freshmen!" |

Instead of being bewildered by the entire Bucknell community at a single time, I got it in nice little bite-size pieces. My Res. College is like my group of friends away from my group of friends. Plus, now I get to mentor a new squad of first-years!" |
