International Transfer Students

As a transfer student applying to Bucknell, there are several things an international student (non-U.S. citizen) should know before he/she applies.

The TOEFL score is required only if English is not your first language. Our minimum score requirements are:

Paper-based test - 600

Internet-based test - 100

However, if you scored above a 550 on your Verbal SAT, we will waive the TOEFL requirement.

We do not offer any financial aid or scholarships to international students (non-U.S. citizens) applying as transfer students.

If you have the finances to support your education throughout your years of attendance at Bucknell, you must complete the Confidential Statement of Finances or the International Student Certification of Finances created by The College Board: www.collegeboard.com. This form is required to issue any accepted international student an F-1 visa. You must also submit the certified original bank statement including U.S. dollar amount.

Because the application process for international transfer students is different than that for undergraduate intermational students, we encourage you to visit the web site designed specifically for students who wish to transfer to Bucknell (Transfer Student Site)
