Sigma Xi Summer Research Symposium

Program Overview

Over the last several years, Bucknell's Chapter of Sigma XI has sponsored a research poster session at the end of the summer research session. Approximately 25-30 students and 20 faculty participate annually. The Bucknell Chapter inducted a total of 172 students since 1994. In 1996 and 1997, Bucknell received citations for outstanding recruitment.

The Bucknell Chapter of Sigma Xi is comprised of many faculty from each of our science and engineering departments. Our chapter promotes scientific activities at Bucknell by sponsoring lectures, nominating students for membership to recognize outstanding research, and hosting a poster session for summer student research.
