Application for Student Research Presentation Travel Funds

Bucknell encourages students to do scholarly and other creative projects with a faculty member beyond their normal coursework. Achievement in scholarship involves engagement in the process of peer review within a discipline. This process often results in the presentation of work at regional and national conferences. In order to support peer review of research, students who are presenting their scholarship at a regional or national conference can apply for a travel grant from University funding. To be considered for this support, students must complete an "Application for Student Research Presentation Travel Funds" which includes information about the conference and an estimated budget. The faculty mentor must sign the form as an endorsement of the travel request. Students are encouraged to seek additional funds from the department of their academic major.

For questions about conference travel funds for research students, please contact James Rice, Associate Provost and Dean of Graduate Studies (rice@bucknell.edu or 73117).
