Note
If you plan to teach outside of Pennsylvania, you should check with that state's Department of Education to determine those requirements that may differ from state to state.

The sequences shown are examples of how you might arrange your schedule to cover the required coursework in four years. However, you should be aware that not all courses are taught every semester, nor even every year, nor in the same semester every year. Some courses must be taken in a particular sequence. If your program is particularly restrictive, or if you plan to go abroad, you should check with all of your advisers -- in your major(s) and in Education Department to minimise conflicts.

For options in Math and English
**MATH 118 should be available for the Class of 2006 to take in Spring of 2004

The two mathematics intensive courses can be met by any course at Bucknell with a MATH prefix, EDUC 362, PSYC 215, a SAT II Math Level IC Assessment with a score of 560 or above, AP math accepted for credit at Bucknell, College Mathematics transfered from any accredited College, including CLEP or distance learning, (may be acceptable for PreCIP even if not for credit at Bucknell. See Certification Officer or Chair of Education for verification before taking such a course).

English Literature can be any ENGL course labeled as literature by the English Department. The W1 course may or may not be ENGL, but two courses MUST be taken. English AP courses accepted for credit at Bucknell can be accepted for the Literature course.
