Fields of Research: Urban and regional economic development, migration, amenity markets, public finance.
Teaching Interests: Public finance, principles of economics, intermediate microeconomic theory, behavioral microeconomics, urban and regional economics.
Recent professional activities: Professor White is principally an applied microeconomist. Her current research interest is in the field of household migration. She has published a number of articles on the topic. She is the past president of the Southern Regional Science Association and serves on the Editoral Board of The Review of Regional Studies. She is currently the Charles P. Vaughan Chair in Economics.
