Faculty

Bucknell recruits and employs the finest teacher-scholars. Part of the distinctiveness of the Bucknell experience is the opportunity for students to interact daily with faculty who exemplify a passion for learning.

To foster the teacher-scholarship environment, Bucknell faculty teach five courses a year and are eligible for an untenured faculty leave (one semester at full pay or one year at half pay) in their third or fourth year of teaching. Departmental and dean's funds are available for conference travel and, on a competitive basis, international research travel grants and summer support in the form of curricular and scholarly development grants.
