Community and Volunteer Services

The mission of the Office of Community Service is to instill within Bucknell University Students a deeper understanding of their roles in local and global communities and to create engaged citizens.
The Office of Community Service:

Acts as a liason between the University and community members in order to connect individuals and groups to local agencies and service opportunities.

Conducts outreach to identify needs of all target groups.

Serves as a resource for students and community members and advises individuals and groups on the logistics of service initiatives.

Advises community service student leaders to coordinate and implement service and philanthropical programming on campus and within the community.

Coordinates the Federal Community Service Work Study Program

Compiles community service data, communicates events, and creates publications related to community service.

The I Serve 2 Campaign encourages every student to complete at least 2 hours of community service per academic year. All hours are logged thru a tracking system.
