About Bucknell Solar Scholars
Bucknell Solar Scholars seek to educate the University community and the public about the benefits of solar energy technology. Bucknell currently maintains three photovoltaic arrays obtained through grants from the Sustainable Energy Fund's Solar Scholars Program. In August, 2006 Bucknell hosted its first Solar Scholars workshop resulting in the installation of a 2.5 kilowatt solar array, which now serves as a power source for the Bucknell University Environmental Center. In April of 2007 two more arrays, with a combined capacity of 3.2 kW, were installed at the Bucknell Mods.
Bucknell's Solar Scholars provide workshops and classroom presentations upon request. To find out more, please contact faculty advisor Nate Siegel or Solar Scholars intern Mike Grasso. To view presentations from the most recent Renewable Energy Workshop click here.
