    Landscaping
    Bucknell uses integrated pest management (IPM) techniques in landscaping its grounds, resulting in a reduction in the quantity of herbicides and insecticides required.  Organic compost is frequently used to amend soil for bed preparation, and the university makes its own mulch from recycled yard waste.
