After traveling to Nicaragua with the Bucknell Brigade annually, both co-faculty were struck with how wonderful the learning process is when a community of students and faculty/staff travel, work together on projects, and consider issues that are no longer abstract, but are vividly present in what we see each day.

Professor Susman’s background in third world development and health geography combine nicely with Dr. Stechschulte’s expertise as a physician concerned with college students’ health and personal development, along with health issues in Nicaragua and broader understandings of public health.
