Costs for 2010

Estimated program tuition: $3,440

Bucknell Summer Session tuition is set in the spring. Tuition costs for the program include:

  • Bucknell tuition for 1.5 summer school credits
  • Magee College/University of Ulster instructional costs
  • Service-learning organization fees


Estimated program fee: $3,587

The program fee will be set each spring semester and includes:

  • Roundtrip airfare: Newark - Belfast - Newark
  • Shared flats with private bedrooms in L'Derry, hostel lodging in Galway/Connemara
  • Ground transportation and excursion fees in Northern Ireland/Republic of Ireland
  • Visa fee


Estimated total cost (tuition + program fee): $7,027

Please note that the figures for tuition and fees are estimated costs. The program fee is subject to change related to transportation/fuel costs. Tuition and program fee are billed to Bucknell student account in spring 2010.

Expenses not covered by tuition/program fee:

  • Transportation to/from Newark International Airport
  • Meals and personal expenses
  • Books and supplies
