Letter of Intent to Direct a Thesis

In 2004, Honors Council implemented a change in how we read thesis proposals. It will be Council practice again in 2007-08 to divide ourselves and the proposals into the four broad divisional categories (humanities, natural sciences and mathematics, social sciences, and engineering) where each Council representative reads only those proposals that are within his/her divisional expertise. The information from the Letter of Intent is helpful to us in the early fall before the proposals are due. Council uses the data from the Letter of Intent to organize ourselves into sub-groups in the fall and set up defense committees in the spring.
