Pre-HealthThere will be a free practice MCAT in November. I highly recommend JUNIORS and possibly SOPHOMORES taking it if at all possible . If you have had BIOL 205/206 or 121/122 and organic chemistry, you should be able to do reasonably well on the biological sciences section. The VERBAL part of the test is not dependent upon any particular course and is just as important to most medical schools as it the biology section, and for many schools more important that the physical sciences section. If you have weakness in the verbal part you should start fixing that problem as soon as possible – you can not cram for it. There will be MCAT review courses offered on campus. You sign up at the web site for the companies, (see below). I have nothing to do with the course beyond making it possible for them to provide them to you on campus. I do not recommend one over the other. I recommend that very strong students and independent learners highly consider doing their own preparation rather than take either. MCAT Corporation You can register for the MCAT 6 months before taking it.
