The Craft Center is set up so that you may continue to explore a craft already familiar to you or learn something new. Located in the rear of the Seventh Street Cafe, the center offers a wide range of classes and individual instruction. This semester's workshop schedule appears on the left.

The center also provides supplies, tools, equipment, and workspace for student use on individual projects. Everyone is welcome!

 


  • Baking 101

    Mondays 7-9pm. An introduction to a range of baking techniques, this workshop is designed to teach novice bakers the essential skills for home baking projects.

  • Stained Glass

    Monday evenings 6-8pm (fall semester only). Students will learn the basic techniques of designing, cutting, and assembling colored pieces of glass while constructing several samples or a window.

  • Knitting

    Tuesdays 7-9pm. These workshops are designed for both beginners and students who have a knitting project already in progress.

  • The Pottery Wheel

    Tuesdays 6-8pm. This course will focus on beginning to intermediate wheel throwing and pottery finishing techniques.

  • Bison Blankets

    Wednesdays 6-8pm. Bison Blankets will be an ongoing collaboration of students, faculty and staff in the production of kid-size quilts that are donated to local non-profit organizations.

  • Photography

    Wednesdays 7-9pm. In this foundation class, students will learn the entire process of black and white photography.

  • Sewing 101

    Thursdays 6-8pm. An introduction to sewing where students will be guided through the step by step process using a sewing machine and working with a pattern.

  • Jewelry / Metalsmithing

    Thursdays 7-9pm. This class will introduce students to basic metalsmithing techniques using sterling silver wire and plates.
