Externships: A Bucknell externship consists of two consecutive days shadowing a sponsor. Externship sponsors are Bucknell alums, parents or employers/friends of the university who are willing to bring students into their workplaces to observe and gain a better understanding of both what they do on a daily basis and the culture in which they work. Externships are available to sophomores with an October application deadline.
Internships: Internships offer students the opportunity to combine classroom learning with practical, hands-on experience and is a valuable way to begin exploring and networking
Jobs: Seeking employment upon graduation? A successful job seeker will use a variety of strategies when looking for employment.
Graduate School: Do you need to pursue an advance degree for the career path you have chosen? Bucknell has a number of resources available to assist you in your search for a graduate school program that is right for you.
Pre-Law: Wondering whether law is the appropriate career for you?
Pre-Health: Are you considering a career in the health professions: medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, optometry, pharmacy, physical therapy, physician’s assistant, etc.?
Bucknell Public Interest Program (BPIP): Promoting awareness, as well as job and internship leads within the non-profit/public interest sector. BPIP also offers a summer Internship Fund to students interning in non-paid work experiences; applications for the funding are due in late March.
