Charles W. “Warhorse” Allen 1892

Football

A four-year captain of the football team, Allen went on to the University of Chicago to captain teams coached by Amos Alonzo Stagg. Allen, who later coached football at Alma and Whitman Colleges, also teamed twice with National Football Hall of Famer Andrew Wyant to win the Central Pennsylvania collegiate doubles championship while at Bucknell.
