Job and internship listings, company and industry information, the CDC complete calendar of events and deadlines, and personal space to stay organized and apply for opportunities are included within Bucknell's web-based system, the BRIDGE (eRecruiting.com). Students are able to search a password-protected web site for full-time and internship opportunities targeted by employers specifically to Bucknell students and alumni. Off-Campus Resume Referrals The method typically used by employers who have or wish to have more of a relationship with Bucknell. This three step program is done completely via the WWW. First, the CDC advertises your opportunity to students; second, the students submitting resumes on-line by a particular deadline; and third, the employer receiving the resumes of interested students. The program is done via a web-based recruiting software program called eRecruiting.com, known as the BRIDGE at Bucknell. Second, students review the site on a regular basis and apply during a designated week. Third, once the designated deadline date is here, the employer has access to all the resumes. When the student applies, their resume and cover letter are sent via the web to the employer. The employer is able to view the resume/cover letter in Adobe PDF format (Adobe Acrobat Reader is available free on-line) and/or they are also able to bundle the candidate resumes and print them. The resumes and cover letters look exactly like word documents. We guarantee the system is very intuitive to use, but if you prefer, the CDC can access your file, print the documents and fed-ex, email or fax them to you. This is considered the next step beyond Resume Referral for those who want the convenience of interviewing all Bucknell students in one place and want to visit Lewisburg. It is a similar process to Resume Referrals (students apply and send resume/cover letter via eRecruiting.com during a designated week). However, the employer responds (via eRecruiting.com) to students indicating whether they have or have not been selected for interviews. Selected students then sign up for interview time slots, also via the web. The employer comes to campus on a designated prearranged day and uses the CDC interviewing facilities here in the Botany Building to meet and interview our students. SummerBRIDGE A searchable database of listings which students can research to learn of opportunities. The CDC office enters and maintains the listings. Typically, students apply directly to the employer in whatever way the employer indicates. This website is maintained by the CDC and is password-protected for Bucknell student use only. Experience.comThe Career Development Center is a full partner school with experience.com. Through the services of experience.com, the CDC is able to offer the Experience Network to Bucknell students and alumni; giving them the ability to search full-time opportunities in an easier and faster way - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week via the WWW! The site is password-protected on an individual basis, so confidentiality should not be a concern.
