Getting Involved

Career Development Center

Employer Presentations/Information Sessions

A large percentage of employers have found benefits in visiting campus prior to recruiting. There are two ways to connect with students: an Information Session held the night prior to your recruiting date or an Employer Presentation which is a general information program open to all students held sometime during fall or spring semester. Employer Presentations provide for an opportunity for employers to share information about their companies, explain employment options and increase their visibility among students. Both Information Sessions and Employer Presentations may be arranged by contacting Katie McDonald, Bucknell Recruiting Coordinator at employers@bucknell.edu or by calling 570.577.1594. In order to avoid conflicts with evening classes these info sessions must begin promptly at 6:00 pm. In addition, we will assist you in coordinating activities with academic departments within the University.

Employer Literature

When preparing for interviews, Bucknell students are encouraged to review company profiles and job descriptions on eRecruiting.com, company websites, videotapes, annual reports may also provide additional information. To keep our resources up-to-date, we ask employers to provide us with the most current information available (due to space limitations, we are only able to house one paper copy of printed materials per organization) prior to visiting campus.

Additional Activities:

Employer Sponsored Workshops
Classroom & CDC Program Guest Speakers
Educational Presentations to Student Groups focusing on job search and career decision-making topics

International Student Employment

Bucknell has many international students who are available for practical training in the U.S. under appropriate visa status.

Credential Services

Credential files (i.e. resume, letters of recommendation) are maintained for all students who wish to take advantage of this service for one year after graduation. Teacher recommendations are maintained for many years.

If you have an internship or full-time job opportunity to list with our office, complete the corresponding form below and submit it on line.
