Bucknell Confirms Safety of Students in Tsunami Region

Jan. 9, 2004

Bucknell University has confirmed the safety of all Bucknell students from countries affected by the Dec. 26 earthquake and tsunami in the Indian Ocean, as well as all students known to have been traveling in affected areas. Many members of the Bucknell community assisted in establishing contact with students whose welfare potentially had been compromised, and the university is grateful for their help, as well as for the good fortune Bucknellians themselves experienced.
