On-Campus Summer Course
Each summer, the ILTM program brings together 18-24 of the best and most highly motivated rising juniors in engineering, management, and the arts and sciences. In 2013, the program will run June 9 - July 19, which are the same dates as Bucknell's summer school session.
The summer experience includes on campus classroom sessions led by visiting executives and Bucknell faculty, integrated "real-world" consulting projects, and site visits to the project client headquarters and operational facilities. - Site Visits
Site visits are an integral part of the curriculum. Students participate in a series of day-long (occasionally overnight) visits to industrial or business sites, where they interact with corporate executives and other employees and tour engineering and production facilities.
- Projects
The site visits are coordinated with interdisciplinary corporate-sponsored team projects in which the students focus on real-world technological and management issues for the sponsoring companies. Projects require significant corporate involvement, including active participation by corporate liaisons. Company representatives attend the final project presentations to receive the students’ final report.
