LEWISBURG, Pa. — The Bucknell Dance Company will present its spring dance performance April 30 and May 1 at 8 p.m. in the Weis Center for the Performing Arts.
According to Er-Dong Hu, director of dance at Bucknell, "The spring concert is filled with the energy and sensuousness of classical jazz and contemporary ballet with commissioned work by guest artists Beth Hirschhaut-Iguchi and Camilo Andre Rodriguez.
"Highlighting the concert will be the innovative choreography of guest faculty Kelly Knox and a multitude of new student works in styles ranging from modern to ballet to contact improvisation from dancers/choreographers Vanessa Hull, Erika Staaf, Janan Hatem, Lyn Wheeler and Victoria Willers," he said.
Tickets for the dance concert are $6, $4 for senior citizens. Advance tickets are available from the Bucknell Campus Box Office in the Weis Center weekdays 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. or by calling 570-577-1000; or from the Langone Center box office weekdays 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets also can be purchased one hour before each performance.
