Newest Alumni
Congratulations Class of 2008!
Before you Graduate. . .
A checklist from the CDC and Alumni Relations
¨ Save a Copy of Your Documents from the BRIDGE
As of July 31, 2008, your documents will no longer be available and your account on the BRIDGE will be inactive. Your primary resume will transfer to Beyond the BRIDGE (the Alumni version of the BRIDGE) and you will have the option to publish it so employers can see it. You may want to save copies of your other documents (other resumes, cover letters, etc.) for your own personal use.
¨ Update Your Email Address
Your email account at Bucknell will be discontinued as of July 31, 2008. Consider using the Bucknell alumni forwarding account that allows you to have one easy-to-remember and continual address.
Be sure your email address is updated on the BRIDGE (under profile), in Beyond the BRIDGE and on your documents.
Important Information About Your Email Account
Your alumni email forwarding address is username@alum.bucknell.edu. This new email forwarding account will replace your Bucknell student email account (username@bucknell.edu) as of July 31, 2008. This “easy to remember” email address will allow you to drive all your email through it and to your other email accounts while showing your Bucknell pride.
To set up your Alumni Email Address
Log on to myBucknell.
Use the email forwarding channel on the Class of 2008 tab to set up the account.
Update Your Email Address to Use Bucknell Services
We are best able to help you if we know how to reach you! Be sure to update your new email address in the BRIDGE and on B-Link. Updating in one place will not automatically update the other. When you update your info in the BRIDGE, you can easily have an account in Beyond the BRIDGE, the alumni version of the BRIDGE. When you update your email address in B-Link you can easily be contacted by other Bucknellians.
¨ Upload Your Resume in the Resume Book
If you are looking for a job, be sure that your resume is published in the BRIDGE resume book for the Class of 2008 and we will be sure to share it with interested employers who contact us. Be sure to update your resume with your new email information (see details about how to set up your alumni email address on the other side of this handout). The Resume Book concludes July 31, 2008.
Looking for A Job? Use the Resume Book
The CDC continues to be contacted by employers throughout the summer and they share the resumes from the resume book on the BRIDGE with those employers. You must upload your resume to the book if you wish to be considered. When you have found a job, be sure to remove your resume. Service ends July 31, 2008.
To upload a resume to the BRIDGE:
· Log on to the BRIDGE, go to Documents/Publish a Resume
· Go to the desired resume book and click on drop down box under Publish Resume
· Select the version of the resume you would like to be published and click Save.
· Your primary resume will transfer to Beyond the BRIDGE. If you choose to publish it, it will be searchable by employers.
