The Library Liaison/ Faculty Department Representative Program establishes a channel of communication to share information about library collections, services and resources, and department/program teaching and research needs. These designated roles foster personalized two-way communication between the library and academic departments and programs to

facilitate communication between the library and academic departments/programs
develop and enhance subject areas and general collections
create and maintain faculty awareness of library services and resources
create and maintain library awareness of department/program needs for teaching and research
