Eileen Stillwaggon, Professor of Economics, Gettysburg College. Author of Stunted Lives, Stagnant Economies: Poverty, Disease, and Underdevelopment and a recent article in The Journal of Developmental Studies, “HIV/AIDS in Africa: Fertile Terrain.” She has written about AIDS for The Nation and the South African Journal of Economics. She has a forthcoming book on HIV/AIDS for Oxford University Press. Professor Stillwaggon has lived and done research in Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Argentina, Ecuador, Lithuania, Spain, and England. She received her Ph.D. from American University.
