Arts Merit Scholarships recognize applicants with extraordinary talents in the arts. Awards range from $2,500 - $20,000 per year. Recipients are selected by faculty members through submission of creative samples and auditions. Awards are available in art & art history, creative writing, dance, film/media studies, literature, music and theatre.

Yes. Within the liberal arts context at Bucknell, students can combine any Bachelor of Arts degree with any additional Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science path (except for neuroscience and biochemistry) and still graduate in four years. Students who apply to the Bachelor of Arts in Music or the Bachelor of Music (in performance, education, composition, or history and literature) programs and who are interested in pursuing a double major in another discipline should speak to music faculty at the time of their auditions to discuss available options.Read the full answer and more FAQs.
West Branch Wired is a distinct extension of our thrice annual print magazine. Issues are released in October, February, and June of each year, slightly in advance of the corresponding print issues. The Bucknell Dance Company stages two yearly performances in a variety of styles, presenting the creative research of the dance faculty, the work of professional guest artists, and selected student choreographers. There you can see first-run, art-house, documentary and classic films while enjoying the old-timey feel and relaxing in one of the couches that you can reserve before a show. The Film/Media Production Clinic (FMPC) provides students with real-world opportunities to produce broadcast-quality content for non-profit organizations. Every year, the clinic solicits applications from non-profits with media needs.
