Selection process
There is a two-phase selection process, which begins with a prescreening period in Fall 2009. During this time students apply for admission to Bucknell and submit creative materials for review by the Arts Merit Scholarship Committee. The review is followed by invitation-only, on-campus selection programs that run during the Spring 2010 semester.
Phase 1: Prescreening period
September 1 – December 1
Phase 2: On-campus selection program for finalists
Departments, with the Office of Admissions, will host an on-campus weekend event for scholarship finalists on Friday and Saturday, January 29 and 30, 2010. A welcome reception and dinner kicks-off the program Friday evening, and the on-campus activities run throughout Saturday.
Special note to music major candidates: the Department of Music offers an alternate audition day on Saturday, February 13, 2010 (with a snow date of Saturday, February 20, 2010) for those who are invited but unable to attend the January weekend.
Phase 3: Notification of scholarship recipients (mid-to-late March, 2010)
