Instructor: Ruth Burnham
These workshops are designed for both beginners and students who have a knitting project already in progress. If you need help completing a project, bring it along with your yarn, pattern and needles. If you are a beginner, the project can be anything from a scarf to a simple sweater. For anyone interested in getting beyond the basics, a variety of richly textured knitting patterns will be explored. Practice yarn and kneedles will be provided.
Ruth is the owner of "Forest House Fiberworks" through which she produces heirloom handspun and handknit garments and home accessories. Her spinning and knitting have been recognized by the Canterbury Guild of Weavers of New Zealand and the Mid-Atlantic Fiber Association. She has also served as a judge of handspinning for the Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival.
