Sewing 101

This class is an introduction to sewing. Each student will make their own flannel pajama pants for themselves or as a gift. Students will be guided through the step by step process using a sewing machine and working with a pattern. The first class is a field trip to Joanne's Fabric in Williamsport. Here students will choose the flannel for their first project and will choose their second project with the advice of the instructor. Students are responsible for purchasing their own fabric and patterns.

Marie Jacob-
Marie studied Art History, Drawing, and Painting, and is the recipient of several awards for her work.  She is an experienced seamstress having made such things as a wedding gown, Christening gowns, curtains, and more. Marie enjoys sewing for her grandchildren and also making quilts, handbags, and home décor items.
