Jazz at Bucknell
Produced by Phil Haynes, Jazz at Bucknell is a chamber series conceived to present international modern masters and young visionaries, showcasing the entire tradition of jazz, from standards to the Avant-Garde, with an eye on artists who continue the innovative tradition of the music with their personal approaches to sound, style, and composition. Concerts are FREE and open to the public. Location is Bucknell Hall.
The Janet Weis Cabaret Jazz Series is made possible through generous funding from the Weis family. Concerts are FREE and open to the public. The series strives to bring to the campus and region acclaimed practitioners of traditional jazz styles from New York and around the country. Guests perform in the Natalie Davis Rooke Recital Hall in the Sigfried Weis Music Building. The Janet Weis Cabaret Jazz Series is produced by William Boswell with assistance from Phil Haynes. Sound is by Dale Hourlland, Brandon Floyd, and student crews of the Performance Services Department.
