Faculty Project Development Grant Summer 2007 Application Guidelines
Proposals due by 4:00pm, Monday February 12, 2007
Deadlines: Faculty Project Application to CSREG:Monday, February 12, 2007 at 4:00pm. Faculty members are encouraged to contact the CSREG Director or CSREG Board Members to discuss potential projects.
The Center for the Study of Race, Ethnicity, and Gender (CSREG) invites proposals from faculty members for Summer 2007 to develop a Faculty Project to be implemented during the academic year 2008-09. The summer 2007 stipend for the Faculty Project is $4000.
The Faculty Project may take the form of a conferece, lecture series,or a program - or curriculum-development initiative of exception importance to the university.
Summer funding is intended for faculty to develop the project; the recipient of the grant will also be responsible for administering the project during the academic year 2008-09. The Center will provide some administrative support and will assist faculty in obtaining funding for the project. Collaborative projects of two or more faculty will be considered, in which case the stipend will be distributed among the group members.
The Faculty Project is competitive. Proposals for the Faculty Project will be reviewed by a special committee of the Center Advisory Board.
PROJECT OBJECTIVES
The annual Faculty Project is intended toserve two main purposes. First, we hope to attract a variety of innovative proposals representing the wide variety of Bucknell scholarship in the field, thus providing the foundation for interdisciplinary dialogue. Second, the Project will aid in maximizing the variety of disciplinary approaches represented by the Center.
ELIGIBILITY
All tenure-track or tenured faculty members are eligible to apply. Faculty members who accept scholarly or curricular development grants for Summer 2007 will not be elegible to receive summer funding for the Faculty Project.
