The Orange and Blue (15-8, 9-1) have taken this to heart. They have not lost a Patriot League home game since March 2, 2003 against Colgate. Including the Patriot League Tournament, the Bison have now won 31 straight games at Sojka Pavilion. That streak will be challenged today as Holy Cross comes to town, riding a 12-game winning streak, undefeated in the 2007 calendar year, undefeated in league play. The Crusaders are trying to duplicate what the Bison accomplished last year: a perfect record against Patriot League foes. Holy Cross (19-6, 10-0) has won its first 10 league games, and the Bison are the biggest hurdle between the Crusaders and perfection. The Orange and Blue have been on a run of their own, winning their last seven games since the team’s 65-60 loss at Worcester, Mass. on Jan. 12. The team is peeking at the right time, as Abe Badmus ’07 and Chris McNaughton ’07 hit their stride as their distinguished collegiate careers wind down. Donald Brown ’07 has been the team’s best player over the course of the season, but the Patriot League Player of the Year candidate injured his right hand in the Jan. 30 game at Colgate, placing the remainder of his season in doubt.
