Richard Caruso M'66

LEWISBURG, Pa. — Richard Caruso will give the talk, "Be the Entrepreneur of Your Life," Monday, Feb. 19, at 7 p.m. in the Forum of the Elaine Langone Center at Bucknell University.

The talk, which is free to the public, is sponsored by the Bucknell Business Leaders student organization, the Office of Development and Alumni Relations, and the Career Development Center.

Caruso, who was named Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year in 2006, is founder of Integra LifeSciences Corporation and the Uncommon Individual Foundation. A 1965 graduate of Susquehanna University, he received a master's degree from Bucknell in 1966.

While at Bucknell, Caruso will meet with students in Professor Mark Ciaveralla's entrepreneurship class and have lunch with Bucknell student business leaders.

After a successful 20-year financial career, Caruso founded the Uncommon Individual Foundation (UIF), dedicated to encouraging individuals to discover, develop and pursue their dreams.

Building on UIF principles, Caruso created Integra LifeSciences, a leader in the field of regenerative medicine, including products for the replacement of skin, nerves and the covering of the brain.

Caruso was honored as both the Overall Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year national winner as well as the national winner in the Health Sciences Category. The awards program recognizes the significant contributions of business leaders and founders who build and sustain growing, dynamic businesses.

"Richard Caruso's vision in creating Integra LifeSciences demonstrates that the contributions of entrepreneurs truly matter and make a difference in our world," said Ernst & Young Chairman and CEO James S. Turley.

"For 20 years we have celebrated the entrepreneurial spirit by recognizing dynamic leaders and their companies through the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year awards. We're proud to add Richard's name to this distinguished group of honorees."
