SBDC hosts eBay seminars

LEWISBURG, Pa. — The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Bucknell University will offer two eBay seminars at the SBDC Business Education Center, 207 Chamberlin Building, Fifth and Market streets in Lewisburg.

The first seminar, "The Basics of Selling on eBay," will be held Thursday, June 7, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Attendees will learn how to register as a seller on eBay and how to take an eBay listing from start to finish.

The second seminar, "eBay: Beyond the Basics," will be held Friday, June 8, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The seminar includes a live demonstration with an actual item, and cover how to start and/or grow an eBay-based business, marketing your business on eBay, and completing the sale. The seminar also will cover eBay stores.

Attendees will receive handouts and lunch and a one-year subscription to Inc. magazine.

Marguerite Swope will lead the seminars. She is an eBay PowerSeller, an eBay University Instructor, an eBay Education Specialist, and an eBay Trading Assistant.

These seminars are co-sponsored by the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development; the Greater Susquehanna Valley, Brush Valley, Central Pennsylvania and Middlecreek Valley Chambers of Commerce; and The Daily Item.
