Virginia Zimmerman (Ph.D. Virginia) is Associate Professor of English at Bucknell University. She specializes in Victorian literature and culture with a special emphasis on perceptions of time in the nineteenth century.

She has published on Victorian literature that explores geology and archaeology as well as on the concept of the trace. She has a secondary interest in children's fiction and has published on the Harry Potter series. Dr. Zimmerman's work has appeared in Children's Literature, Victorian Periodicals Review, Victorians Institute Journal and Pedagogy. Her book, Excavating Victorians, was published by SUNY press in 2008.
